Kodak's Marketing Department is at it agian (In the USA only apperently)

Strange, companies used to give promotional stuff away. Sometimes at shows etc and sometimes if you sent a few empty packets/boxes. Now it seems you have to pay them to advertise their company.

Oh hell I really have lived too long........
 
The same time they still did not get the old tech papers we asked for onto their server...
 
I'd get one that had Tri-X on it. Maybe I'll get the Kodachrome one (though I rarely shoot slide film). FWIW, I have a pin or two from Pentax from back when Hunt's in Boston used to rent out the Boston World Trade Center for its yearly show and sale.
 
Interesting, they only have the least popular film type (transparency).

That isn't a still film (transparency) patch, it is a movie film patch.
Just as the "Kodachrome" patch refers to their magazine.

Is the Super8 patch the new Super8 camera design? That might mean it is still alive. Or not.

I know and I agree.
Though I love projecting slides once in while. The only reason why I shoot the stuff.
Kodak should really consider bringing back something like Vericolor, now that people are scanning more than printing.
Or, that reversal, two stage inhibiting developer, that should be able to increase speed of conventional emulsion two to three stops, that was never put into production. ;-)

To add fuel to the fire I want a patch of the Original Kodachrome 135mm box. None of the cheaper, compromise Kodachrome II , if The Almighty had wanted us to have "super fast" ASA 25 film he ( or she ) wouldn't have made the Sun so bright!
 
It's not just Kodakachrome, other brands can look good on a water bottle.

I suspect they only have the rights to sell products sold by Eastman Kodak. Kodachrome and Ektachrome are both motion picture films. EK also sells Tri-X reversal film, but not TX400.

It would be interesting to know the status of other trademarks as related to patches. I assume KA could make patches for the products they distribute. Could both companies make Ektachrome patches?

It is not just photo related, Many years ago, here in the US, you could go to Las Vegas, Nevada and get real bargains on food, hotels, etc. with the idea that the businesses would make their money from the gamblers. Howard Hughes bought a hotel there and proved that you could charge a premium for food and hotels and the people would still gamble. That lesson was noticed by others in other businesses. Why give it away when people will pay for it. Stuff like caps, t shirts, etc.......Regards!
