braxus said:That part number (879 0180) for TX 400 in the above post has been discontinued. There is a new part number for this film now under: Cat# 196-5599. A call to Kodak Canada produced this info. I tried the new number on Kodak's site and it doesn't seem to produce any listings, but another call to a camera store confirmed they are also using the new number for ordering TX400 120 in single boxes. That 5 pak number listing in these threads is only for TXP 320 which is not the same film. That film is more for controlled lighting indoors in the studio, while TX 400 is for outdoor use and indoors with flash.
Dead Link Removed
That link above shows Adorama using the new number which is in effect. I'd ask the store in Australia if they can order it under the new number.
B&H has it in stock, according to their web site. I wouldn't count on it lasting, however. I suspect that 220 black and white will soon be a thing of the past. At the very least, fewer retailers, especially local retailers, will want to stock it. (I have no information on this, it is merely an assumption based on the current state of things.)Woolliscroft said:Suddenly I can't get Tri-X in 220 any more. Dont know about 120. HP5 is still there, but again not in 220.
David.
The statement was that he could no longer find Tri-X in 220. He didn't differentiate between TX and TXP. Since he said "Suddenly I can't get Tri-X in 220" I am assuming that it is the TXP he was referring to since he clearly has been buying the stuff recently. I was only trying to address his particular issue of not being able to find the stuff. I do know that they are different films.df cardwell said:Paul
Kodak has not made Tri X in 220 for .... have they EVER made it ?
TRI-X-PROF ( TXP 320 ) is in production. It is the last B&W 220 film in production.
