As I recently got the Ilford Ilfotec DD-X I tested it on Kodak Tri-x rated @ box speed. In fact, I didn't experience good results with previous developer (Ars- Imago Fd or Adonal) when rated @ 400 ISO.
I loaded my Leica M2 with a tri-X roll and went to the beautiful little town of Todi in Umbria.
The results with DD-X were quite nice, and contrast was under control, while greyscale worked very well.
