I just got a Tourist with an Anaston 105mm lens in a Kodak Flash Kodamatic shutter. I would like to clean the shutter as it is quite stiff. Can someone tell me how to remove the center lens prior to cleaning?

Kodak made a special tool for that. It was inserted into the lens and expanded to the outer edges of the lens barrel then the lens element unscrewed.
A piece of thin rubber, aka jar opening aid, over the lens then grip the outer edge of the barrel with the curved section of slip joint pliers with just enough pressure to prevent slipping and unscrew it.

the center element on the 105 anaston is very difficult to remove. I was unable to do so on mine, so I cleaned the shutter with naptha with it in place, then cleaned both sides of the element afterwards. It worked out fine that way. Good luck, great camera, and that's the 2nd best lens it came with.
