A good reason to convince the significant other why you need a 8x10 camera rather than selling it. I've used it in 35 and 120 form and love it as a transparency but never seen a contact print from 1 8x10 or a transparency from that size but I'd be it is absolutely amazing. Back when I was using the film I had thought about going that route as I loved the film. Sadly, I've never found another film that I so loved to shoot.

How was it stored?

unfortunately, not in a freezer, but it was kept away from moisture and light, at room temperature.

Can you back up the transparency bit ?

Some illustrations please.

Ian, I do not have access to a scanner nor any experience scanning. Yeah, I am old fashioned. I am not getting out much but I'll see if the local Black's Photo can scan a 6x6, 6x4.5 or, 35mm slide and if so I'll ask them to do a few to post.

I just opened it up 3 months ago . I used one to see how the fog was. I used pyrocat hd with added bzt. It looked reasonable. It is no longer an unopened box!!! I seriously doubt anyone will buy 24 sheets.

You'd be surprised! I've shot this stuff in 4x5. If I was into 8x10 back then, I would have shot it, too. How was the Pyrocat-HD stain with addition of Bzt?

Guarantee that it hasn't seen room light and people will pay a lot for 24 sheets.

It did stain. @ 25 Asa . About 9 minutes seemed to be close. I took 1 sheet exposed it to a “ scene” , cut it into 4 pieces. Developed each one for either, 6,9,12, and 15 min. Printing on g2 azo. It appeared 9 minutes seems real close. My bzt was .02 grams per liter. Of course I omitted the potassium bromide.

I think I’m going to keep it. I have a project in mind with it. For later. This summer.

Let's say it makes more sense to keep it than try to buy more. It'd be easier to get an ostrich egg out of a goldfish than buy more of that.

I am excited about this project.

speaking quite candidly, . . . . carrying around excess bagage( both metaphorically and literally) . . . . dragging "stuff" from town to town, year to year. And now I have some time and a plan to let go . . . at least of some of the stuff. Like using this box of film. nice.

Rare bird for sure. I have some 4x5 to play with but I’ve only seen 8x10 pop up once recently

Things are aligning ., I think by April, come she will. . . I will be well on my way, with my new/old romance. Tech pan. New camera, new enlarger. New subject matter. . Oh just got 16x20 paper@ 100 shts. I’m happy!
