I've been searching the net for a table that shows Kodak safelights that are equal to Ilford safelights. For example a Kodak OC is the equivilent of Ilford's 902.

Anyone know of a complete table?

Thanks!

See links from Kodak and Ilford in the following thread under heading "Safelights and testing"

(there was a url link here which no longer exists)

Thanks! I have those docs but there is not a table that equates Kodak to Ilford safelights or vice versa.

If you look in the data sheet for your paper it will give you the safelight filter-type required, also then test it of course because distance, wattage and/or bounce from a ceiling are all going to be unique to your situation.

If you are trying to match an existing filter from one manufacturer with that of a currently produced range, then it will be best to compare transmission graphs and these are available in the links above for (at least) Ilford and Kodak products. Matching the verbal colour-description and fitness-for-purpose text would also be sufficient for normal materials I expect.

In any case, test your own lighting when you change anything . . .

You will have to compare Kodak & Ilford data sheets & the descriptions contained in each yourself, really not that hard.
