Kodak RT Dev Replenisher at 35 or 38 degrees celsius?

I have read conflicting advice on what temperature to use Kodak's Ektacolor RT Developer Replenisher and Bleach Fix at. Some say 35 while others say 38 degrees celsius. Which is correct?

Since obtaining a heated Nova slot processor, I have been using 35 degrees without noticing any problems but recently I saw some references to 38, so I'm unsure which is best.

If you mean the RA/RT for RA4 which I assume you do considering you mentioned bleach/fix

I've used that US product down to 64f in trays without issue so I doubt it makes a lot of difference.
Just adjust your times with experience.

The stuff I linked is incredibly robust.

I'm not sure brucemuir if this is the same product you have linked to.

I know from previous discussions here that it can be used in trays at 20c for two minutes and I have done so, but for my heated slot processor I understood it to be 1 minute at 35c but recently I read that it should be 38c.

PE always suggests Kodak RA-RT replenisher (without starter) at room temp as low as 20 deg C. I use a different SKU, the one sold by AG Photographic, the composition may differ, but nevertheless it works just perfectly. I develop for 2 minutes at 23 deg C; or 2'30 if the developer is getting old or if I need a tad more contrast and density.

I get perfect and very similar results on both Kodak Supra Endura (discontinued) and Fuji CA. The color filtration differ by about 5-10 units in both Y and M between these papers. Fuji may have a little bit more saturation, or may not.

So, it doesn't really matter.

Yes, thefizz, RT Dev/Repl is very forgiving with paper. This might come as a shock to you (and all) but I dilute it 1 + 9 (yes!), add about 1 gram sodium carbonate (mono) per liter of working solution, and develop color paper for 2 minutes at ambient (Fahr 80, Celsius about 27). Any less might compromise the blacks.

Obviously, this is entirely 'one shot'. I get deep blacks and great color. The dev is very flexible. - David Lyga
