I have this beautiful Retina Automatic III camera with it's box, paperwork, flash, some bulbs, and leather case.

Also included is a note from person giving camera as a gift. I don't know much about the people, but I tried to reach out to their kin in Chicago with no luck.

The only defect I see is a little dent on the bottom of the camera, as pictured. Also, the built in meter is questionable too, so bot sure if it's working. But then again, it has full manual controls too, so no need for the meter/automatic abilities.

$60 w/ free USPS Priority mail. International shipping available, just message me.
Trading possible: Nikon 50mm 1.8 late AI-S, LF gear, etc.

Looks very nice. If I wouldn't already have a Retina III I would take it...

The Retina Automatic III is well made, has good ergonomics, and is equipped with a reasonably sharp lens. But it has two major design flaws: (1) The shutter release requires high finger-force, causing blurring camera-shake, and (2) a ring around the back of the shutter has a vinyl bearing with insufficient clearance, causing most cameras to jam. Consequently, most of these cameras are inoperative. I have devised some internal modifications that fix both flaws. But you lose the automatic feature in the process, making this a manual camera. Fortunately, the meter will still work if the Selenium cell hasn't died. The modification is described in detail in my website: https://fixfilmcamera.com/RetinaAutoIIIMod/RetinaAutoIIIMod.html
