I recently got a Kodak S100 EF, when you slide the front open to take a picture, there's a little switch that says 400 on one side and 100/200 on the other. When you slide the switch, it changes apertures of the lens, does it also change the speed setting, or is it just aperture?

When you switch from 100/200 to 400, the aperture gets smaller. This reduces exposure, adjusting for the change in film speed.
