Kodak Elite Chrome 100 Extra Color aka E100VS was my all time favorite slide film. Vibrant, juicy colors yet great skin tones. Fuji no longer has a real equivalent to it. E100 is nice but not the same thing. I hope Kodak will consider bringing it back, even a small market test batch. Anyone else feel the same?

it would compete nicely with Velvia 100 and 50., neither of which have the flexibility of scenics including people, nor general travel.

I don't miss it. E100G was the best balanced Kodak E6 film of all. Want it warmer? Just add an 80A or 81A amber filter.

Yeah, I really didn't like the VS or the SW stuff. In fact I started shooting Provia F, because it was so "normal" looking. I hope the current emulsion is a big hit.

This pretty much describes Provia 100F. From what I have seen of Kodak E6 the skintones lean too yellow for my liking. However if you like that look you can always add an 81A when shooting Provia.

VS (aka Elite Chrome) was always my favorite. It'w what got me started shooting slides. There are a couple of dozen rolls still in the freezer.

The color palette and overall look is very different from the new Ektachrome, and certainly any Fuji product. It would be wonderful to have this option again, but it is more practical to hope for the new Ektachrome in 120. Try using a didymium filter with the new Ektachrome; that should give a look reminiscent of VS.

If we are going to expend our wishes on any new slide film, it would be for 400 (or at least 200) ASA. The stock of Provia 400 in the freezer is rapidly dwindling.

Amen. While I'm a big fan of the new E100, VS was my all-time favorite. Just loaded my last roll of it in the stash on a trip last week.

There's a group of customers called "harbingers of failure", and I seem to be such an indicator of doom. I absolutely loved Provia 400X, Astia, Acros and E100VS, which means these films were unpopular and had to be discontinued.

E100VS did warm scenes so well (and made cool scenes warmer) - it's the best late summer/early fall film

I was very fond of E100GX, which I shot in 120. I'm looking forward to the new Ektachrome in 120, to sort of compare.

I would fill the freezer with E100VS in 120.

My favorite slide film. To me it was the closest thing to Kodachrome. Still have some left in the freezer and still like it more than the current E100. Expired film prices for this film are skyrocketing.

I always thought the E100GX looked pretty Kodachrome 64 like but in E-6.
Since we are on the wishing for topic I think a top speed 1600 slide film using all the updated 2 electron technology would be a treat. Sports street and fashion could use the extra stops and whatever grain occurred would just add to the look. Think Tmax400 levels of grain at 1600.
Now that I think of it make it like the mulitspeed Ektapress films designed to be pushed. 400 and 1600 but in E-6. I'd shoot a wheelbarrow full of that.
