I am using Epson V600 to scan Portra 400 and I notice a Kodak logo along with a number. Where does it come from??

It's not on the negative itself.

Ps: I scan RAW/DNG and apply medium infrared cleaning.

Thanks

It is in the negative I am afraid.
That is a consequence of what is known as wrapper offset, and it probably arises from problems that Kodak was having with new versions of backing paper and inks when they ran out of the backing paper that they had manufactured themselves and had to switch to a third party supplier.
We have had many, many posts and threads about the problem - here is one I started back in 2016 in an attempt to try to organize some information: https://www.photrio.com/forum/threa...ing-paper-problems-emulsions-affected.137251/
Although most of the posts on this site have been in reference to black and white films, there are several references as well to colour negative films being affected.
The current films now have a new, much more shiny type of backing paper which appears to have solved the problem.
What is the Batch number and Develop Before dates for your film?
The email to use to contact Kodak Alaris about your film is: Profilm@Kodakalaris.com

If you are doing a hybrid technic, this defect is easily removed with editing software.

I had this happen with aroll of Ektar a few years ago and it is frustrating. Fortunately, Kodak replaces my film.
