Pretty, support your local shop. Looks to benefit EKCo not Alaris, good!

Here's the practical reason to use them. The film is contained in one container purpose built. Both exposed and unexposed film are kept in the same container. I easily identify between the two because the unexposed film has the extended spool at the top, the exposed has it pointing down. No need to search in different areas of a camera bag. No need to fish around.
But I get it, this is Photrio so anything that may get in the way of you and blowing on your soup while waiting for it to cool is bad.

I have one, it is pretty cool but I think a 120 only version would be more useful. It's also a bit heavy being made of metal.

What's wrong with Kodak swag, old or new?

My grandma used to work for them in Rochester and picked up a bit. Those 4 oz. glass graduated beakers are great for mixing cocktails.

Stick around here awhile, you'll pick it up.
What would really be cool is if Kodak would reissue the "Original" film canisters painted, with a rubber o-ring. Create a similar thing for 120. The real market for the original would be for people to keep POT fresh!
I remember my friends who had camera shops, people would ask for empty 35mm canisters, they wanted all black versions

Do these new boxes have a rubber seal??

No seal, just a really solid clip/snap closure. My plastic cases before this came with rubber bands to hold them closed.

Back in the days when I shot skateboarding for a “living”, I would gift some of my friends some black film canisters (those with the gray cap). I knew what they would use them for.
