I read on the net that Apple-Google are intending to buy somme Kodak Patents, see: http://www.bloomberg.com/news/2012-...n-500-million-plus-bid-for-kodak-patents.html, what could help Kodak to survive the storm in which they tend to submerge.
I also read (on DPreview) that Kodak stopped their 'consumer-facing operations' and "...however they will continue to make film for the movie industry, along with its 'Specialist Film' division, which makes large-format films for aerial and industrial photography...", does that include the manufacturing, and by this the availability, of B&W and colour (roll-)film and chemicals for 'normal' silver based photography?
Strangely enough, I don't get an answer here...
To us europeans, this matter is rather 'unclear', and the availability of (Kodak-)film concerns us all, doesn't it?

As pointed out by rich815 (above) there have already been many threads on this very issue. It is kinda old news for us by now....and has been very well hashed over already.
