Just ordered an Arista 3 bath E-6 kit. What worries me is that there is no indication that it has any sort of preservative. Dont want my slides moldy and faded in 3 years. Anyone know if it is possible to use Kodaks E-6 final rinse, with the preservative Formalin in it, as a final step after running aristas bath kit with blix?

My understanding is if the Arista kit already has formalin in it you don't need it in the final rinse. The final rinse is just a wetting agent at that point. If you use a non-formalin (i.e. non cancer causing) E-6 kit than the final rinse contains an anti-fungual agent not formalin.
