Kodak discontinued using the tin cans in about 1974. That was near the beginning of my photo experience. But I do remember that while Ektachrome came in an unpainted can with a yellow lid, or all unpainted, B&W films came in a foil packet. The first plastic cans were gray with a black top, soon changed to the opposite colors.
Kodak's trade dress went through many changes over the years, with a near-total overhaul in the early '70s. That's when they changed their chemistry packaging from cans to foil packets, for example.
You have quite a collection there- enjoy!
