35 $ submission fee for 200 films award. It is not worth trying.
Maybe excellent? For KODAK!

Students fee is 25$ and the award in the Student's Project is 100 films plus an assembly kit of a very basic 4x5 view camera without lens and filmback, rated at 260$ as Kickstarter project.

Winning an award such as this is more than just the film. The exposure in the film photography arena and the added credibility (it is Kodak, not some fly-by-night photo group) adds value and recognition.

Unlike other contests, this one is limited to film photography, although the submissions showing the photographer's talent and intent do not have to be film. That is going to limit the entry pool. It is also based on your ability to write a good proposal for the work you intend to do. All in all, better chance to win for a film photographer than most of the (money-grabbing) contests out there.

But what arena? The internet world is so diverse meanwhile. Maybe though KA presents the winner at some important sites.
Yes, Kodak has (or at least had...) credibility concerning awards.

Collectors? Galleries? Publishers? Institutions? The internet is not the whole world, especially for film.

I referred to the internet as this is all KA hinted at for presentation: "Film Photo Award’s website and social media"
