EPP has smaller grain, a bit more contrast and punch. EPN is the most neutral slide film on the planet. It is the transparency of choice for copy work and anything else that requires strict colour fidelity.
Thanks guys.
I read about the EPP somewhere and it says EPP is excellent for X-processing. I didn't know there are differences from film to film in terms of x-processing.
I have never tried EPN in a cross process, but EPP works just fine and in my tests is surprisingly close in overall result to Portra VC except for the obvious results in color and contrast from a cross process.
