I just got some prints back from WHCC on Kodak Endura Metallic. WOW! This stuff is great. I want to start printing color so I can use this stuff in the darkroom.

It's not sold in sheets anymore, is it?

Unfortunately Kodak stopped offering it cut down. It's only available in rolls. GREAT stuff. I made a couple 24"x30" metallic prints of the following image and it looks really nice to me!

It is really a great paper. I don't like it for everything but there are certain shots that scream Endura Metallic. It looks nice when having black and white printed on it (I wish they had a true b&w metallic)

Since I shoot mostly slides, I shoot Scala and print on Metallic. The results are amazing. Now that Scala is dead, I am trying regular T-Max negative film and sending those to dr5 instead.

Regards, Art.

So I just got some expired film from Kodak in a giveaway, and they gave a free roll of Ektar too. The flyer for the Ektar is printed on Endura Metallic (and looks great). Over in the flickr group for the giveaway, one of the discussions is "What is the paper the flyer was printed on?" They seem to like it. :D

I need to get a box of 11x14 for a friend's negative that I want to print. If anyone has one, I would be interested...

Only available new as a roll. 203mmx88m is about £120, and 12" is £190. You might find some out of date boxes of cut sheet for less.

great paper for the right image. i find that it renders the whites a little too grey for my preferences so scenes with a lot of snow, for example, look a little muddy. otherwise, this paper really makes a color photo "pop" if it has bright colors and is shot in bright light. for scenes with a lot of white, i would recommend fuji crystal archive PEARL - almost but not the same metallic pop but the whites are white. that being said, it all depends on what one is after and the characteristics of each can be used accordingly.
