I finally found a lensboard for my Kodak Ektar 161mm lens. I used one of those lensboard I had lying around. It was the Beseler with the 1/2" cone on it. Turns out the openning is perfect.

Anyway, when I put the lens on with the retaining ring and tighten, the aperture barrel hits the board and I can turn the aperture. So I need to back off on the ring but then the whole thing moves.

Am I missing something on this lens?

I have the same lens, unless there are more than one version, and its mounted on a flat lens board. Works just fine. It sounds like the cone must be interfering with the lens. I don't have one of those type of lens board to tell if that is the case. Great lens.

You can always shim it out with a small wire wrapped at the back of the lens & install the flange. This would put the lens 1/32" or so away from the board & should relieve the binding.

At the very least it won't entail a trip to the hardware store.
Not very expensive either.
