From the datasheets, it appears that Kodak's E-6 motion picture reversal film Ektachrome 100D is the same film type as Ektachrome 100VS and Elite Chrome Extra Color 100 (EBX). Has anyone here tried the E 100D for still photography?

It might ensure the supply for the future if such a film is produced for motion picture use as well.

I have used E100VS extensively, and briefly used EBX, which I thought was a lower cost alternative. The reality is that while the data sheets might seem similar, the results are definitely not similar. It would be surprising if Ektachrome 100D was much like either of the other films. There is a possibility it could be close, though that would be a personal choice on whether it was close enough for you. Perhaps Ron will chime in on this thread and give a more definitive analysis of the similarities and differences.

Ciao!
