FYI...
I just received an email from the sales dept. at digital truth and they have the 5l Kodak e-6 kit available. They told me it ships directly from Kodak but the shipping cost can be high.
There must be some in the distribution pipeline still but lately they have disappeared from Unique, Adorama and I didn't see them on the Liberty site just today but I didn't look real hard at Liberty.
Unique had 1 or 2 up until 3-4 weeks ago.
I have used the Arista/Freestyle E6 kit before I got my one and only 5L Kodak kit and the results from the Arista kit were great.
But this brings blix into the argument

If you work hard you can assemble all the Kodak components needed (somewhere near 12 different bottles) in larger that 5L quantities...
but you will be buying & paying for shipping stuff from all corners of the US and some places will only sell a box of 4 bottles of the same chemical etc. (box of 4 bottles Part A, box of 4 bottles of Part B etc)
It gets REAL expensive before you even pay shipping/haz mat fees.
Friday. I was visiting my parents in Lilburn last week. I always love going there, just to "gaga" over stuff. They did not have too much for film, but I did notice that E-6 kit near the powder chems.
Oh, no problem....I was just shocked to see it. I talked to the owner a bit and he was intrigued to hear me talk about doing C41 and having no shifting problems. I also noticed there in the cooler he had some packs of 5x7 Super Endura paper for about $20. I didn't check the date on them though.
Mike,
I called Photo Barn yesterday and they do indeed have an E-6 kit!!! When I called and asked they snickered and said " I'll go check". Terry came back to the phone and said "YES, we do have an E-6 kit!"
Thanks for the heads up!
