I could believe it's the latest successor of VR from what people have replied so far.
For reference, my last purchase of VR was in 1997 in CVS. It was a 3-pack of Kodacolor VR 200 in the old black and yellow package with the lines on it, and the red Kodak logo and film type in white lettering. This predates the newer VR plus. It had a develop before date of 9/1998. So, they were still selling the old VR 200 in 1998. There was also a large square package of the same film for real estate next to it on the shelf in the store with I think 12 rolls of 8 exposures each in it. The edge markings on the processed film say Kodak VR 200-5. The film cassette says 5 on it also, and the abbreviation is CL rather than GB. This was definitely the old VR because of the CL.
So, from 200-5 to 200-8, those are consistent edge markings...sounds like Color Plus is indeed likely the successor to the VR line.
Around the same time, maybe a few years before, there was also a Kodak Funtime 200 film. I remember buying that once too. I don't have the package or cassette anymore though.
What was the abbreviation for the recent VR Plus 200 film? Was it GB or CL? What about on the current Color Plus 200?
