Similarly Harman are planning on selling real estate to make an enormous capital reserve but it will cost a lot to move any production equipment even 300m to a new purpose built building.
This is untrue and the real story is clear in the public announcement and in Simon's posts. Harman sold the property on a lease-back deal when they came out of bankruptcy several years ago. The family they sold it to are re-developing the property and building them a nice, shiny, and much smaller and more economical, new factory building, which Harman will rent.
Thanks I was unaware.
I frequent silver print for raw chemicals like hypo cause the E&C is near to street markets.
And they sometimes have expired film cheap.
But while Im there I buy some bulk like Kentmere400 at about 42 GBP.
If I buy by post from else where it affects their turn over.
I still have cine and speed trap bulk in fridge.
Silverprint frequently have no Formapan 400 I was initially nervous but eventually detected the uni students do it at the start of analogue projects.
Noel,
One of these days we have to arrange to go to a shooting together.
Say, next time you go to Silverprint, why don't you send me a PM saying what time you will be there and I'll meet you at the shop?
I am sure if you have the money they can arrange shipping, mind you it means hiring a crew to dismatle the machine into sutable size parts, getting a crane and oversize load trucks to take it to the waterfront, where another crane can load it on a Barge(s) which can to towed down teh seaway to any suitable port near where you want to install it.
Oil and Gas industry moves big stuff all the time.
