If you can't find one, maybe Richard Ritter in Vermont can make you one. Contact Richard at www.lg4mat.net.

I need a 4x5 reducing back for mine too. Seems like an ansco might work, but hard to tell from pictures on ebay.

Thanks,

Will

Looks like Glennview might have one - a "Graflex wood back for a Kodak 2D". New stock but pretty pricy. Might be more than you paid for the whole camera.

The Deardorff backs wont fit. They are 12" across, while the 2D backs are 11.5" or thereabouts. I've found 5x7 and 4x5 backs for my 2D that were listed as generic no-name backs -and sold for low prices accordingly. They are unmarked as to brand but work fine -just look for ones with the correct dimensions (which you can get by measuring your 8x10 back). If the dimensions aren't listed in an auction, it's easy to ask.

Unfortunately, the Deardorff backs are usually listed as Deardorff backs, and as such are priced more than I'd like to spend!

cheers

Tim
