Hello!
I have bought 2 large rolls of Kodak 2422 direct duplication film, and am currently cutting them up to make MF and LF sheets.
This film can work well in camera from my testing, EI 0.025 in HC-110 A has worked well for me.
Kodak recommends D-19 for 9 minutes and DK-50 for 14 minutes. I do not have either developer to test these times with. Kodak does not give a recommendation for EI.
For negative enlargements it should be very similar to slow photo paper.
This film is blue-green sensitive and can be loaded and developed under standard paper darkroom lighting. It is also a direct duplication process, which means it produces slides in regular B&W development. A high contrast and fast acting developer gives best results.
I will be cutting sheets in free time between classes, so please give me a week or 2 to fulfill purchases.
Pricing:
127 (half length)**: $6 /roll
120 (1/3 length)*: $6 /roll
2x3: $20 /25 sheets
3x4: $25 /25 sheets
4x5: $30 /25 sheets
5x7: $50 /25 sheets
8x10: $100 /25 sheets
13x9.5” (largest possible cut) $80 /25 sheets
Custom sizes are doable if size allows (max size 13x9.5”, minimum size 1.8x1.8”)
*127 and 120 rolls are only 13 inches, or 1/2 the length of 127 and 1/3 the length of 120 due to the size of my sheet cutter, and the fact I cannot slit 61.5mm pancakes from anything larger than 70mm currently.
**127 backing paper and spools must be provided. I can get new paper but the cost makes the rolls prohibitively expensive.
Shipping $10 within the US.
If anyone is interested, please PM me and let me know, I have a discord server where I organize all my large film projects and will send you a link for it (a lot of bots joined last time I put it publicly). I can still discuss in PMs but it is a lot easier if everyone is in one place.
Developed film, from left to right: EI 0.025, 0.05, 0.1, 0.2
Wish I had a light table…
Failed long exposure experiment, shows very low damn is possible for slides.
