I've been scanning in a few hundred Kodachrome slides and came across this artefact on two consecutive frames:

Any ideas on cause, the banding is visible on the film itself, which was processed October 2010.

Looks like the reflection of a car or bus dashboard.

Always use that rubber thing. I mean that rubber light shade, and press it onto the window plane.

Yep, second one is almost definitely a fluoro light or luggage rack.
