Regardless, given the turnaround time for my films, I can guarantee Dwayne's are processing more than once weekly. I'd be interested to know what volume of films the K14 process needs to keep running within spec, at a daily rate.

I think that was the direction my mind was working in my last post.

I'm thinking that Dwaynes is a full-scale K-14 line (rather than a Kodachrome Minilab (was that the name of the small units that never really caught on?)). Assuming this, I'm sure I read somewhere that it needs quite a high minimum throughput to operate efficiently and stay within QC parameters?

Yes, the K-14 line at Dwayne's runs at least Monday through Friday. I know I've sent in films and had them processed on Saturday too, FWIW. The turn around times on K-14 are always next day. The reason it seems to take so long is shipping.

The K-Lab? Yeah, that didn't really work out. But imagine if it had!
