A friend of mine is helping me scan my Kodachromes, mostly 200 with some 64. He has a Minolta Dimage IV and Vuescan. Our first attempts at scanning have been really bad (no ICE, btw). I've read some people swear by the Dimage IV for Kodachromes, so I'm hoping some of you can help me out with this. My first question is if Vuescan is desirable for scanning Kodachromes with a Dimage IV. Beyond that I'm hoping for suggestions.

Thanks!

Let me add that the problems I saw with the initial scans were very wonky colors. Also, I'm just trying to get a file that will look top notch on a monitor, not one for printing.

I have had excellent results with Vuescan and Kodachrome, even though Silverfast is my favorite scanning software.
