It's all history now. Soon no one will remember the name Kodachrome.

Not long after that no one will remember the name Kodak.

The appropriate Paul Simon song should be, Slip Slidin' Away.

...and yet people still remember Daguerre, Fox-Talbot and George Eastman. Go figure.

Actually, Dufaycolor came out before Kodachrome. My Dad made Dufaycolor slides in 1931, which I have. They have pretty much faded to a weak red color. It certainly wasn't Kodachrome! I have Kodachrome 8mm movies from 1939, and they still look great. Sad it's gone, but, that's progress, I guess.
