Sometimes when reading the "recommend me a....." threads I see recommandations on equipment that seems widely known in the US or Australia but is fairly unknown in europe. E.g. enlargers, I know Beseler enlargers but they seem more common in US than here. Meopta enlargers are all over the place here but I suspect they are rare in America.
Other examples ?
This because some advises don't aply all over the world

My Fuji 6x9 enlarger is not available outside of Japan. I could never get any second opinion on it on APUG. For a long time, I thought its head was the same as the LPL 7700, but not exactly since I've found the 7700 is for up to 6x7, not 6x9.
Hypo-check, which is this little liquid thing to test the freshness of fix. It's very useful and is available in the U.S., but not in Japan. People over here have never heard of it.
The myth of Ohji Paper, which I heard was supplying the paper for Ilford. But Ohji Paper is generally known for making toilet paper/tissue as far as I know.
I think it would be nice if everyone used a location in their name. It would make statements like "that's what the light is like around here" more meaningful. Even regionally there are some locally made products not known outside the area.
Archival boxes: the ones available here are imported. Not many people bother buying them to store their negs and prints, but considering the humidity level in the summer, they'd better!
