I watched a Kinemacolor restorated film at youtube and I am amazed with reds. Such Kodachrome like wild , metallic , deep colors. I used photoshop and there is a color map you point your cursor and select a color. I found its very boring , not able to select a metallic color , I dont know how they get these RG colors such successfully. What to do to get these hues for every digital treated picture ?
I am thinking to reinvent the kinemacolor with Custom RG filters to separate a normal image and reconstruct it later. I contacted with London based company who did the kinemacolor restoration and asked their digital filter specifications.
Is there anyone who did before for any antique process ? Is there such a plug in which reinvent these processes ?
