Someone gave me a Kindermann Film Dryer; the type you attach to a wall and has a plastic 'skirt' all around to keep dust out - similar to a Jobo Mistral Film Dryer (nut bigger).

The problem is that I need to replace the missing' skirt with some type of clear thick plastic: any suggestions?
I suppose that a shower curtain could do, but I would like a more 'elegant' solution...

Thank you in advance.

If you are in need of speed, sure clean it up. I have a nice drying cabinet, works fine, I use it occasionally, especially when drying film for friends who drop by.

I've seen camera shop setups, that take these units and build a small cabinet, mount the unit on top. I think the original material was, I think, a heavy duty PVC. PVC is not readily flammable (run for your life if it ever does start fire!)
My cabinet is metal with an acrylic door, works great.

And the winner is:

Matt - I appreciate your humor.
Agx, mshchem - I might build a cabinet, but only if I have to; I am in the throes of building my home darkroom and I am getting tired of cutting, gluing, nailing, building...

I solved this same problem by hooking the dryer head at the top of an inexpensive portable clothes closet I bought from Home Depot. The bottom was an open rack, but I went to the fabric store and bought a large rectangular chunk of 5" thick foam the size of the floor of the portable closet and taped the sides to ensure I locked out any dust entering from the bottom. I've since found a replacement "skirt" for the dryer head but still put the entire unit inside the portable clothes closet - now I have double the dust protection.Something like this:https://www.homedepot.com/p/Whitmor-30-25-x-68-50-Portable-Wardrobe-6905-5955/206296205

Here's mine.
