If the title of this post wasn't enough to make you jump to another thread I don't know what will, but here goes.
I've been toying with the iea of printing platinum/palladium prints from digital negatives for well over a year now, I've bought a kit from the place in Mexico (don't have it in front of me so I can't remember the name).
Anyway I need a printer... I've had experience with an Epson 2100 which died on me in the end thanks to a dodgy CIS system from Honk Kong, so I've been looking around at HP, Canon and some of the newer Epsons, I live in New Zealand, and it's difficult to get Pictorico film, as the US web site won't deliver outside the US, so ideally I'm looking for ideas about which printer you guys think is the optimal printer for digital negs and which film would match that printer. I hate these kind fo posts (which printer should I buy etc. etc.) but I have done my homework, but I've hit a wall mainly because of availability here in NZ, so I've narrowed it down to the HP B9180, Epson 4880, or at a push the Z3100 from HP, althought I might be looking at a divorce with the last option! I've laso heard that canon do a pretty good job, but not sure about the films.

Anyway, any pointers (up to date and non-US specific please) would be ideal before I shell out my hard earned cash, oh and inks and profiles, everyone swears by the Quad tone thingey, can I use that with an HP printer?

Thanks all

Quad Tone RIP - QTR, doesn't support HP printers. My recommendation based on the printers you mentioned is to go with an Epson 3800.

Thanks Don, I thought this site was going the way of Polaroid film!
Glad to see I was wrong.
