I am looking to sell my Kilfitt adapter for Nikon F mount. This is an extremely rare adapter, but I need the money for film. This is the ORIGINAL West Germany adapter with a separate tripod mount.

It is in great shape. Pictures on request.

Note: this will adapt Kilfitt Leica thread mount (LTM) lenses to Nikon F, not the later WE mount Kilfitt/Zoomar lenses.

Asking: $120+shipping+paypal.

Eric,

This is a lens-less adapter. I don't know if you can focus a Leica lens to infinity or not. But this was meant mainly for the initial Kilfitt models that had an LTM mount.

Hi there,

For me, it's not really a Leica-LTM/Nikon adapter stricto sensu, it should be considered as a part of the Kilfitt multi-mount system, for specific lens like the Tele-Kilar 300 mm f/5.6. This lens has actually an M39 thread, where this adapter is fitted, and the whole set is mounted on the camera. Theses lenses have a very long back focus, and can be used too with the Kilfitt mirror housing (Visioflex-style).

I have a such Tele-Kilar, but with an Exakta adapter.

If you fit a plain Leica Lens on this adapter, of course it cannot be focused at infinity.

It's a rather scarce item ! Mr Psychoanalyst, if ever you have the same adapter, but for Pentacon-six (I heard they exist ), I can be very interested !

Best regards,

Raphael

Raphael,

You are correct and wrong. It is part of the Kilfitt multi-mount system, but the thread is definitely DEFINED as a Leica thread Mount. Not because it is intended for Leica screw mount lenses, but the thread designation, 39mm 26 TPI Whitworth, is called LTM.

It is a common misconception that it is the same as M39...which is not true, because M39 has a thread pitch of 1mm, but LTM has a pitch of 0.977mm....almost but not exactly the same.

Yes...these are intended for folks who have the 90mm f3.5, 150mm and 300mm Tele Kilars and the older version of the 90mm Makro Kilar.

It is a very rare item. I paid a premium for this, but then soon realized that I needed capital to start my LF journey. All my Kilfitts are WE lenses, so this was surplus to needs anyway.

Good luck on the Pentacons.......VERY VERY difficult to find one. But, if it helps, I might have an extra WE mount without the rear threads that I MAY be persuaded to let go....not sure I want to sell such rare items yet. Assuming you have WE mount lenses...
