Kickstarter Campaign for new line of 617C/612C (Graflok adapter available), 45PS, 57PS and 810PS Cameras

We're pleased to announce the newest line of cameras with extensive additions and improvements to our existing models and addition of several new options and formats. Composite materials are used throughout offering advanced vibration reduction and longevity. Tactical feel of composite materials of this type is unmatched in this industry with slight but perceptible fine texture improving wear characteristics, grip and esthetics.

This new line is all encompassing of a number of different formats. CCB 612C and 617C convertible cameras can be used in 6x6, 6x9, 6x12 and 6x9, 6x12, 6x17 formats respectively as well as Graflok back for Large Format cameras with standard Graflok mount. Ground glass attachment is available for both for precise focusing and framing. Interchangeable cones, Graflok back and Ground glass attachment make them quick and easy to use in any situation.

CCB 45PS, 57PS and 810PS are Large format Point & Shoot cameras in 4x5, 5x7 and 8x10 formats. 4x5 accepts Graflok roll backs. They're featuring interchangeable cones just like CCB 612C and 617C with possibility to be used quickly and with different lenses.

In addition there is improved Sinar F series to 4x5 Point & Shoot conversion. This campaign also adds Sinar P, Cambo and Toyo Omega View to 4x5 Point & Shoot conversions. Sinar versions are compatible with most Sinar Handy components and all versions are compatible with Sinar mount cones. All LF cameras come with ground glass backs.

All cameras will also have option to use pinhole cones with our well known and widely used pinhole inserts enabling you to turn them into a pinhole cameras in an instant.

There will be premade reward packages on the Kickstarter. Custom packages can be created and sent directly if listed options don't suit your need.

For the past two years I'm carrying 617 and 4x5 P&S style cameras with me almost everywhere and using them with 90mm either f8 Super Angulon or f6.8 Grandagon-N.
The same lens changes easily between the two. My bag is a bit larger and easily fits both plus a medium format camera with two lenses and 8-10 4x5 film holders.
Now with these new ones I also have 5x7 with the cone for either one of the 90's.

New 617 opens some more options with Graflok back option. Part 2 of the video shows it used on a Graflex Crown with standard Graflex 135mm lens. No movements.
It's a quick scan with DSLR on the light box. There are a few areas that are uneven on the edges but the lens covered really well. Much better than expected according to its specifications.
Sun is directly above the camera so there's some polarization visible in the sky.

These are the grip options.
612C and 617C have side grips with shutter cable tapered seat. Shutter cable in the picture is probably the largest one out there. The other ones with smaller taper fit much nicer.
I'm standardized on these particular ones and keep using them. On 612C if Graflok adapter is used, this style of grip interferes with it and it needs a different solution.

Pistol grip fits on any camera. There's an interface that goes on top of it to prevent any hint of rotation. 1/4" threaded stud goes through the whole grip and there's tightening nut on the bottom.
It's an extremely strong grip I designed for Hasselblad kit with heavier lenses some time ago.

Yes, that is correct. That is one half.
The other half is calibrated helicoid with distance scales and hyperfocal markings.
After the distance is set, it's easy to track distances and what will be in focus. One of the customers is using Bosch laser distance meter with great success at all distances.
Personally, I'm shooting at f22 90% of time and on tripod so I haven't seen any need for that. New ground glass attachment turns it into a fixed view camera with precise framing and focusing.

I've assembled an optical bench almost 4 meters long with targets at 1m, 1.5m, 2m, 3m and 5m and 10m targets in front of the bench.
There's collimator fixture for the bench to collimate lenses before calibration start.
I have 45mm, 65mm, 75mm, 80mm, 90mm, 105mm, 135mm, 150mm, 180mm 210mm, 240mm, 270mm, 300mm and 360mm lenses available on hand for calibration and can provide calibrated helicoids in these focal lengths.

Calibrated M65 helicoids and new rotating flanges will be available separately for DIY

I tried to explain all of my products to the detail before (after the project launches there will be more information) and then I sat with some of the customers and when you look at these descriptions on the phone it takes so long that nobody reads more than a quarter of it. So I had to shorten it to make reasonable for viewing and still working to put together some graphic resources with more explanations. Hopefully I can balance it to have enough information and to not be too cumbersome too read.

I'll be writing a page for each product in the next day or two on the website to be able to get out all of the explanations for different products on their dedicated page.

In short the improvements over the existing one are:
1. interchangeable cones - quick change with small levers
2. Graflok attachment for use on 4x5 LF cameras.
3. additional and pinhole cones
4. machined M67 and M77 flanges so it's even smoother to move lenses between cameras
5. sliders for removing the back in one step vs. threaded nuts on the existing model
6. snap in format masks for 612 and 69
7. ground glass attachment
8. pistol grip (this can be used on any cameras)
9. available for less with Graflok attachment and format masks to be used on LF camera

There are quite few additions. Tested precision stays the same.
