I need to replace my favourite lith paper, Kentona (non-cadmium), as the small stock I still have is rapidly depleted.

What comes closest to this? - it's a quite subdued lith effect, good warm tone and capable of keeping wonderful high values.

I love Fomabrom Variant III but it's a too bit grainy to serve the more subdued feeling I am looking for. Been thinking about trying Adox Nuance but I am told it's a slow paper.

What sort of lith does Adox MCC give? Any other ideas except the good old orange-fruity Fomatone?

I have never used Kentona so I can't speak to how it compares to anything else. But I can say that Fomatone liths wonderfully. According to Tim Rudman it is the warmest emulsion in lith developer. I used to take the color pretty far into the "orange-fruity" color you describe, but I have lately come to appreciate the delicate pinky color that comes with quite fresh but highly diluted developer, and keeping the exposure to just enough to get a little tone in the highlights.

Mark: what kind of results are you getting with ILWT in lith? I have tried a couple of times and have not been impressed.

It is pretty subtle, but then so it Kentona. Personally, I don't care for either one for lith. In fact, I have a partial box of Kentona that I'd be willing to sell for a reasonable price!
