I really surprised when I found Kentmere was producing 35mm film.
Can you say me please where can I find film and paper galleries , examples at web ?
20 years ago , I was reading Ansel books and there was lots of Kentmere paper prints and I said myself this is the best with Agfa.

Please tell me your visual impressions , comparing with Ilford , Agfa , Kodak papers and films.

Thank you ,

Hi Mustafa

Ilford took over Kentmere a while ago (please see www.ilfordphoto.com and go to the link "Kentmere Acquisitation").

It's likely that the "new" Kentmere films are Ilford FP4 and HP5 films but labelled as Kentmere, since they seem to be new on the photo market.

As far as I know Kentmere has mainly produced photographic paper. I have no knowledge of formerly produced films by this famous paper manufacturer.

The films are sold for example in Switzerland (for all European countries) by:
Ars-Imago in Zug, Switzerland (http://www.ars-imago.com/-c-21_25_881.html)

I hope this information is helpful to you.

Best wishes and kind regards,

Peter Gautschi

Ilford have said these are new emulsions and that they are not re-labelled FP4 and HP5 if you search this Forum you'll find that comment made by an Ilford Director, Simon Galley.

These are budget films aimed at the student and bottom end of the market, so only available in 35mm.
