As the development times and technical data of the new Maco/Rollei RPX 100 and 400 seem to be the same as for the Kentmere films, can we assume there is not 'Intel inside' but 'Kentmere inside'?

Acorrding to Firstcall, who sell pan100/400 in the uk develop as for FP4/HP5, so I would make the relevent times for HP5/FP4 a starting point, and yes, Harman are selling films in the US under the Kentmere brand name, read something about it, but did'nt bother much as they would not be available this side of the pond,Richard

ROLLEI RPX and Kentmere 400 not the same Films

Dear Klopstock I doubt that they are the same films as the development times for Kentmere 400 and RPX 400 are quite different e.g. Kodak D76 Stock Kentmere 400 9 1/2 mins 20°c and RPX 7 1/2 mins thats a difference of 2 minutes
Microphen Stock Kentmere 400 8 mins RPX 400 7mins
Kentmere 100 and RPX 100 times are close but not identical Kodak D 76 Stock Kentmere 100 7mins 20°C and RPX 100 6 1/2mins the difference is minimal so it could be the same film. Both Rollei/Maco films will be available in different sizes Kentmere is only available in 35mm

That is good to know, many people are waiting for good offers for 120 or other sizes... what about 220? I still have these magazines and can't use them.

The RPX Films will only be available in 135 and 120 no 220

I don't think so. If you look at development times for different films closely, you'll see that for the most part, development times for ISO 400 speed films all fall within a pretty narrow range. Same is true for slower films. So it proves nothing and doesn't even suggest anything.

The Kentmere films are a bit of a mystery. I know a few places where it is available, Sweden, US and possibly Canada too (?). Both offerings are nice films (especially like the K100) and quite a bit cheaper than the Ilford ones. I've run about 20 rolls through the camera and no quality issues or anything out of the ordinary yet. Can't really understand why it is not available in more places.

Hi people,

I´ve photographed some autumn places in the huertgenforest. 4 Films, 2 RPX100 and 2 RPX400. I have used the moersch efd developer and XTOL 1+1.

In my attachment you can see the first two prints onto adox mcp. The picture with the sky is developped in moersch efd; the second in xtol 1+1.

My first opinion: It´s a classic film with a little bit more grain than fp4 or apx. The film is not so sharp as the both films i mentioned. But I do more test with it. Later this week I´ll write more about these films!

Macodirect.de is now offering Kentmere 100 and 400 films at dumping prices. Are they worth it?
