Does anyone have the original article wherein Ctein and Ken Werner test and report about a very large selection of enlarger lenses sometime in the early 80's? I'd love to read it and if someone could either scan a copy or at least tell me what issue of what magazine to look for that'd be fantastic too.
I think a copy of the article might be in "Post Exposure". (As I recall, the book appeared to be a collection of articles.) In any case, there is a large section on enlarging lenses including a rated comparison. Unfortunately, I lent my copy out and never got it back.
Post Exposure (2nd ed) does have a chapter on "Enlarging Issues", with a long section on "The Best Enlarging Lenses in the World". Ctein does say the material comes from the article with Ken Werner, and that little changed between the date of that test and the editing of the book 15 years later. He also says he's tested new lenses in the interim. There is a 3 page list of lenses for 35mm through 4x5 with comments.
I have Post Exposure which contains a list of the "best in class" enlarger lenses, but I'm interested in the full article that was originally published in one of the darkroom magazines.
