I still do all my own banking walk-in. Things go wrong. Every single week this one little local branch has to deal with multiple cases of attempted fraud. If there is some kind of mistake, I simply call - they know me and have it fixed in just minutes. The big e-banking systems might provide
greater convenience, but when something goes wrong, it can happen on massive scale, with months being involved before things get ironed out.
I dealt with KEH once about a year ago. I'll have to follow up. Thanks for the heads-up.
I once had a walk up teller make a $250,000.00+ error that caused me all sorts of grief!
Relatively speaking, I've had more reliable results from the computers.
I'm careful with whatever I do, but I must say being able to access account information electronically improves immeasurably my ability to monitor things.
I haven't had any such contact from KEH, but then I haven't bought anything from them recently.
Let's put it this way, when some bad guy wants to loot a small bank, he walks in there with a gun and a sack. When they want to loot a big bank,
they can be on the other side of the world with a staff of hacking experts, and affect millions of people at once. I don't know any cure for it, except
to be poor and have little worth taking!
