Hi all.

Could anyone here point me in the direction of past links to any software etc, that would make keeping a record of print sales etc, easy. I know there has been a few in the past but I am drawing a blank when I do a search.

regards

Stoo,

Why not just set up your own using an Excel spreadsheet? Any spreadsheet program would be simple to use, cheap/free, and you could input anything you need into the columns for your own record keeping purposes. Just a thought.

Good luck, in any case.

Yeah, MS Office or Works or corel or any of the suites you can set up to track sales, inventory, print receipts, customer lists, or even just good old fashion paper and a Fort Ticonderoga NO2.

I was afraid that someone might point me in the direction of office or works

I'm such a lazy person when it comes to these things, always looking for an easy fix. Oh well, I best get to it.

Thanks for taking the time guys

Best

Hi Stoo

I too have managed with an Excel file for a few years. I simply have two new worksheet for every year, one colour, one B+W.

It isn't perfect as I need to try to remember which year I made an image, but somehow I bumble on! A database would be just the ticket, but do not consider the shortcomings of Excel are worth me buying new software.

I think I recall that there is some proprietary software available for this purpose, but sorry to say that I haven't researched further or bookmarked the URL.

An Excel spreadsheet is OK but what you really want is a database. I have been using an MS Works database for about 20 years now. It isn’t perfect but it does the job pretty well. A relational database would work better but I just never liked Access.

Baxter, rwyoung, chrisofwlp and photographs42.

Thanks so much. After Baxters input, I started to put something together in Works. Its very basic but it is a little bit more organised than the postage stamp I had been using :D .

Thanks all
