Would anybody have a copy of The Kardon Camera Story by Katz? I have bought a kardon civilian with no serial or name engraved on the top plate. Bottom is marked USA. I know some have no serial numbers The odd thing is this one has a black winding knob and counter numbers in white

I cant find enough information on these and the book "the kardon story" is out of print. I will be sending off to cleaned soon. I have leica IIIb the finish of the chrome is not as nice as the leica but its not bad it's covered in leather shrinking a bit around the lens mount. Operation seams to be relevantly smooth. I ran film through it focus looks to be spot on. The black knob is a curiosity it is not painted over chrome there is some brassing so I think it's the original finish .

Leica Shop Vienna has the book ``The Kardon Camera Story´´ by Jerome Katz - unfortunately together with a Kardon Civilian Model …
Try to ask shop owner Peter Coeln to sell the book separately.

Thanks I can try but Peter Coeln only seems respond to me only when I have something very interesting AND I'm willing to put it in his auction. I seen the book with his Kardon maybe he would separate it can't hurt to ask.

I had the camera cleaned an internal number 14xx so I guess a late model. Probably a end of production spare parts creation.
