Hi, folks,
I've planned to make my own palladium toner for working on kallitypes, so I ordered a very small amount of palladium chloride, which seems to be the cheapest (or less expensive) of the noble metal family.
Now that I have it in my hands, I realised that the only toner formula I've found with palladium chloride doesn't really mention the precise quantity of palladium used - only vague "...7 drops of solution..", but what solution?
I understood, by reading somewhere else, that it's the B&S nr.3 15% palladium solution, but this solution is one of sodium chloropalladite, not palladium chloride.
So, I got 1 gram of the powder and just can't afford to go wrong with it. Please, can anyone help me to get this point clear?
