I have been doing some research for an article that i am writing and came across an artist called Boris Savelev, from what I understand he is printing a kallitype over a silver geletin print, I have never heard of this, I will be taking a look at some these prints next week at the gallery that represents him, the results are said to be stunning. Anyone else had any experience with this process?
Cool. I love his images. It would be interesting to know if he is using a matt or glossy paper paper. It seems it would be difficult to get the sensitizer to absorb into a glossy paper.
Interesting indeed; but frankly, I don't get the point... Maybe reproductions aren't enough, I should see the prints in person to appreciate the results.
I remember someone doing pt/pd and/or kallitype on fixed s/g papers - actually two; one was Christian Nze IIRC. See the achives, you may catch something. I've read it here, not somewhere else...
