Hi what type of plug fits into the kaiser v type transformer it has 3 round pins

You likely refer to the connector depicted on this box (the transformer here itself got a different connector...):

Hard to say, it seems a proprietary connector. In this case you need to inquire at Kaiser if they still got a spare cable with such (seemingly older) connector.

Hi Louise, I guess the socket of your transformer looks like this one?

I think I have the same one in my darkroom. Later today I can take a snap of the dedicated cable / plug for you if that would be of any help.

This is a non-standard connector. I would not know where to get such today at an electronics supplier . In the past Kaiser used these also for mains voltage at their repro-lights.

At the swiss J-type mains connector the pins are furher apart, otherwise one could have cut its isolator to shape. One also should keep in mind that fairly high current at low voltage runs through the cable to the enlarger head which should be considered at any DIY solutions.

The plug for Durst enlarger is exactly the same apart from the central ground pin which is plane in the Durst and round in the Kaiser IIRC. I have used in the past a Durst transformer for my Kaiser enlarger, with the central pin (of the plug) removed.

That look just like the plug that connects the mains power supply to a Nikon film scanner and also what used to be a standard hot water kettle in UK but that is for the normal 240V. Is that the power supply 'in' or the low voltage 'out' socket, I cannot read the writing.

As you are in UK, you could try a company in UK called RK Photographic that has some spares for Kaiser enlargers. I think they are one of the few still in production so you could also try Firstcall Photographic near Taunton in Somerset or Second Hand Darkroom supplies which is in I think Oxfordshire.

You mix up connectors.
The one in question is proprietary. (At least I have not found it used as standard.)

And it basically is a mains plug and also used by Kaiser in this way, though at the enlarger at 12V AC. Thus the 3rd pin is useless and was ommitted in their succeeding plug.
