After searching high and low, I have found nothing but the same results. Einstein's definition of insanity at its best. So...

Does anyone know where to find a formula for the K-14 process?

Look at US patent 3658525. According to Kodak engineers this is a teaching patent, meant to make the full process details available to their competitors in order to improve market traction of this process.

All the formulas were published many years ago in the Dignan newletter. After they stopped publication the entire newsletter was made available on microfiche. Perhaps adding the keyword Dignan will improve your search.

PE, it isn't as bad as the people who want to reproduce Kodachrome emulsion and coat film!

Was it a five- or a six-figure amount of $$$ Kodak wants to see on their account when asked to restart production of Kodachrome film?
It would be nice to have a small scale Ektachrome manufacturing, sadly gone (and Ferrania coming!). I do recall an interview (2011, now gone) in insideanalogphoto where the interviewee talked about how much they reduced E6 production and it was still going.

For Kodachrome the whole engineering is gone. Kind of ironic that we are increasingly technological and this process is gone for good and not easily reproducible.
Most of it is in the economics though. We need a bored tycoon pouring cash in and it would come back nicely.

And please, no more questions about the process!!! It is dead and gone.

Together with the "is magenta a color?" and the barn with a nice coater .

The "kodachrome is discontinued" thread had many interesting and enlightening discussion in it.

Btw... what happened to inside analog? Last activity on his FB page was forever ago! Really love listening to what PE and Mark Osterman have to say!!! What you just posted is quite interesting. With such a love of Kodachrome, I could easily see it making a good comeback for a little while. FCOL, there was an entire song dedicated to Kodachrome lol! Which is a great song! I do agree though. But if this theory of a bored rich guy did actually happen (which would be awesome!), I could easily see this as the Furby. Mega 6 month hit then only the cult following is interested. People don't stick to stuff much anymore. It's the older generation (like 1980s and later) sticking to things.

Last I heard, Scott Sheppard was quite ill. I have lost contact with him.

I do have one last interview "in the can" that he sent me. In it, Bob Shanebrook and I are dual guests as he asks us questions about film and Kodak. It is unedited and I have not even opened the file. That was one of his last.

And Kodak would probably want a 7 or 8 figure amount to restart Kodachrome if even then.
