Was a member years ago til I ventured to the darkside...digital.
But in the past couple of months have purchased an Intrepid 4x5 camera with lenses, and just this week a Beseler 45MX with a Zone VI cold light head. Building the darkroom the next two weeks.
I'm back baby!!!

Hey, welcome back to the darker side! I have a couple Beseler and Zone VI enlargers/ light sources. Lots of fun people here.

Hey me too  Dug out the old MF gear and grabbed some old film that has languised in the freezer for over a decade.

I doubt I'll be building another darkroom though - When I saw the prices on gear I gave away I just sighed.

What's old is new again.

Welcome to Photrio!
When you get the time, I suggest oiling the front and rear bearings in the Beseler's motor with a good, light oil (not WD-40 or 3-in-1). My motor was slow due to old lubricant, and we don't want to overstress the electrics in old motors due to stiff bearings.

I've moved this thread to the Introduction sub-forum - because it fits so well there!

Thanks albada, good advice and i'll carry that out with my wife's sewing machine oil dispenser, (beautiful little tool - squeeze bottle with a tube that dips down into the oil so oiling upwards isn't a mess!!)

Thank you! I discovered that I actually did have an APUG account from 2017! I'm set up with the new one, so the old one can be deleted as you may wish. Good to be back.

Ask Sean or one of the moderators and you can get your old name and post back. That would help others get a more complete image of you.
