I was surfing old posts here on APUG and came across a post where a guy was asking about what elements should be inside his Printmaker 35. Since I have one also, I was interested.
I bought my enlarger from ebay for 70.00 and as it turns out, I have the 2.5" condenser that I'm supposed to have at the bottom, a filter holder as it should but I also had a 23c condenser head at the top below the bulb. I didn't know what should be inside my enlarger so I never gave it any thought.
I took it out to see what the effect might be and it certainly made the light at the easel brighter, not sure about any other effect.
I don't have the heat absorbing glass in mine but from what I read, it's only necessary for LONNNGGG exposures and I don't "think" that I'm doing that; mine are pretty routine as far as duration goes.
Strange huh?
(This picture isn't of my unit of course, I'm just using it to illustrate what's in mine.)
