The browser displays that at full screen and keeps it like that as you scale down to the point where the left sidebar disappears altogether.

I have the same result I originally showed you on a Windows 10 laptop with firefox. My original screenshot is from a big tv hooked up to a computer - so I just now thought that may be the issue. But checking on the laptop suggests it's Firefox - latest release of Firefox, both instances.
