Another one from same seller:

"All are untested with film, and show various levels of dirt/dust/oldness. They all have an aged musty-like tactility to them that, after handling them, you might feel inclined to rub two fingers together and go “Hmmm, there is some residue here.”

The perfect seller for us who like to dive into rummage boxes.

$100 opening bid on a Graphic View - comes with the tripod attachment. That's not bad. Then you read in the description that this stuff came from the seller's father.

Then, on a listing for a 135 Hektor "Was recently washed, lightly, with dish soap and water."

Love this seller! From the Graflex listing:

"There is some obvious crud along the rail, as you can see, and the knobs/rail feel lubricated with some densely slippery substance.
Ok, so I could have worded that differently—but if I know my dad, and the way he was with cameras, what I’m feeling the residue of is probably globs of Vaseline."

My favourite posts are those for expired film.

Usually described as ‘stored in cool, dark, conditions‘ or similar - should be OK.

I often think that’s a euphemism for ‘been rolling around on the parcel shelf of my car for the last 15 years’

My personal favorite is an opened package of film or paper laid out for all to see that the product still looks good in daylight.

You mean like this?

Darn shame, too. 8x10 that expired in 2003 - would've been just fine.
